Mangalore, Mar 16: Well-known cartoonist, Prakash Shetty, held the audience spellbound and made them to enjoy the fun, by drawing fun lines of several people within seconds, on Tuesday March 16, at Town Hall here, as part of the District Kannada Sahitya Sammelan.

Prakash Shetty, a popular cartoonist, with his fun mixed lines and spot caricature, began his show, by drawing Dananjaya, president of Shambhavi Jaycees of Mulki. The caricature, which he could draw within minutes, made the audience to appreciate his skill as also his style.

The caricature of three persons, named as not-three idiots, also attracted them and brought broad smiles on their faces. The three persons he drew, founder of MIFT College, M G Hegde, Yakshagana artist, Balachandra Rao and Mangesh Bhat, head master of Ganapathy Higher Primary School, had come forward and volunteered for their caricatures, when the compere invited three friends to the stage for the purpose.
The three-in-one caricature with simple changes, on JDS chief, Deve Gowda, and his sons, H D Kumaraswamy and H D Revanna, the transformation of a caricature of giraffe into Amithabh Bacchan with a few deft strokes, also came in for praise from the audiences. Finally, Prakash drew the caricature of Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president district Kannada Sahitya Parishat.

This one-hour unique show, held in between several other sessions which were in progress, provided the people fun and helped them to satiate their eagerness about the way the caricatures are created.

Mangalore, Mar 16: A state level cartoon exhibition on the subject, ‘Ee Bhoomi Nammadu (This Earth is Ours)’, being organized at Prasad Art Gallery here, was inaugurated by veteran humorist and writer of satirical mini poems, Dundiraj on Monday March 15. On this occasion, he also read out a short poem written by you on the subject, and urged the people to protest against the move of the government to dole out land to mining barons and industrialists.

Dundiraj also added that this exhibition gives out two messages, the first about the need to take the issue of environment and rising temperature seriously, and the second about the fact that cartoons and caricatures should not be taken lightly.

Jeevan, director of Gerebare School of Art, delivered introductory address. Cartoonists and caricaturists Harini, Prakash Shetty, Kotiprasad Alva, director of Prasad Art Gallery etc., were present.

The exhibition features 20 cartoons drawn by various artistes, and will be open for public viewing from 10 am to 7 pm till March 20.

MANGALORE, March 15, 2010: It is said one photo expresses what a thousand words cannot, but in this case it was one painting that said a million things. And nobody would have done it better than the humour artists of karnataka state particularly when they are depicting the environmental degradation.

Twenty cartoonists of our state have put their collective show at the Prasad Art Gallery in Ballal Bagh. The exhibition showed in utmost humour and veiled contempt for the effects of global warming, environmental degradation, climate change and utter contempt of the modern man towards the very environment he lives in.

About 100 paintings depicting the effects of environmental degradation on this world particularly after the heavy industrialization has taken place in the country. The artists including Harini, Prakash Shetty, Yathi Siddakatte, Jeevan, Harishchandra Shetty have depicted the evils of industrialization, ignorance of mankind and total negligence of modern man about environmental degradation. One particular frame had shown a man driving a car and yapping "what global warming I have an air conditioner" behind his car there is a city which draped in black smoke and heat.

In another frame a minister hovering in a helicopter cries down to a man marooned in the flood water saying the "water will recede in the global warming " Such humor which in fact juxtapositioned in dire sequences make mockery of our living habits and the terrible environmental sense we as modern human being have.

The show was visited by many people during the day and the organizers have thanked the people for showing concern and interest in their art.

Good show there on environmental awareness, but majority of the Mangaloreans just laugh at the humour and continue making fast buck, selling fertile lands and felling trees! Sad but true! I feel lucky, that I have very few years to live!

Cartoon exhibition on global warming from today Mangalore, Feb 24, DECCAN HERALD-ENG.DAILY
National Institute of Technology - Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal will organise ‘Kalakrithi’— a three-day exhibition of cartoons and artworks of students in its premises between February 25 and 27.

A workshop on ‘how to draw cartoons’ will also be organised for the students of the engineering colleges at the NITK campus. 50 artworks of students of NITK in different forms of art will be displayed at this exhibition.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by NITK Director Prof Sandeep Sancheti. Jeevan, director of Gerebare School of Art, Udupi and renowned cartoonist, Harishchandra Shetty (Harini) will preside.

The main focus of the exhibition will be ‘climate change, threat to environment, awareness on global warming through cartoons.’ Harini will be the resource person for the programme. The three-day cartoon exhibition on global change in environment is being organised jointly by Gerebare School of Art, Ambagilu, Udupi and National Institute of Technology - Karnataka Surathkal. About 20 cartoonists from all over Karnataka state will exhibit their works at the cartoon exhibition.

Exhibition will remain open from 25 to 27 February between 10 am to 5pm.

Mangalore, Feb 19: National Institute of Technology – Karnataka (NITK), Suratkal near here, which is in its golden jubilee year, is celebrating the occasion in a grand manner. As part of the celebrations, it will be organizing a three-day cartoon and caricature exhibition-cum-workshop in its premises. The workshop, on the subject of ‘how to draw cartoons’, is meant for the students of the engineering colleges at the NITK campus.

The exhibition will be held from February 25 to 27. Dr Sandeep Sancheti, director of NITK, will inaugurate the exhibition at 10 am on Thursday February 25. The main focus of the workshop will be, ‘Climate Change, Environment, Global Warming Awareness through Drawing of Cartoons’.

Students from national institutes of technology spread out all over India are expected to take part in the workshop. Renowned ‘Daijiworld’ cartoonist, Harishchandra Shetty (Harini) will be the resource person for the programme.

Cartoon exhibition on global warming & climate change opens

Udupi : A three-day cartoon exhibition on global warming and climate change, was organised by the Gerebare Art School to mark its fifth anniversary here, on Sunday, Jan 24.

"Parents should only guide their children and not impose their views on them," advised Paediatrician Krishnamurthy Upadhyaya after inaugurating the cartoon exhibition. According to him children must be taught to differentiate between right and wrong. The minds of children are soft and broad. They will remember only what is essential from their point of view. They are innocent and hence cheating and fooling others are basically unknown to them, he opined.

Further Dr. Upadhyaya lamented the fact that since parents were putting pressure on their children to study, they were no longer enjoying their childhood. Children are given the impression that there is nothing else for them, beyond studies. They are made to learn things which they are not interested in, he added.

ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆ ಬಹಳ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯ ಹೆಂಗಸು. ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಗುಮುಖದಿಂದ ಲವಲವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಬಾಯ್ತುಂಬಾ ಪಟಪಟ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಒಂದಲ್ಲ ಒಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದ ಚಿಲುಮೆ. ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗಿನ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿರಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಮಗನಿಗೂ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆ ಬಿ.ಪಿ., ಶುಗರ್ರು, ಅದೂ ಇದೂ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಗಳ ಹೊಡೆತಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ, ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗಿ ಹಾಸಿಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವೆಲ್ಲ ವಿಷಯ ತಂಗಿಯಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಅಂತೂ ಮಾರನೇ ದಿನ ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದೆ. ಸೊಸೆ ಅದಿತ ಕೂಡ ಪರಿಚಿತಳೇ. ತಂಗಿಯ ಕ್ಲಾಸ್‌ಮೇಟ್‌ ಅವಳು. ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದವರು ನನ್ನ ನೋಡಿ ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟು ಎದ್ದು ಕುಳಿತರು. ಎಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷ ಆಗಿತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ನೋಡಿ ಎಂದರು. ಅಂದಿನ ಆ ಲವಲವಿಕೆಯ ಅತ್ಸುತ್ಸಾಹಿ ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಯಲ್ಲಾ ಸುಕ್ಕುಗಟ್ಟಿ, ಶಕ್ತಿಹೀನವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿರುವ ಈ ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ? ಎಂದು ಬೇಸರವಾಯ್ತು. ದೇಹ ಹೇಗೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೂ ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಾರಿಕೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಯಾವ ಗ್ರಹವೂ ಹಿಡಿದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ತನ್ನ ಬಿ.ಪಿ., ಶುಗರ್‌, ನಿಶ್ಯಕ್ತಿ, ಮಾತ್ರೆ, ಪಥ್ಯ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ಹೇಳ್ತಾ ಹೇಳ್ತಾ ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಇಳಿ ದನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಣೆಗೆ ತೊಡಗಿದರು. ನೋಡು- ಶುಗರ್‌- ಶುಗರ್‌ ಅಂತ ಏನೂ ತಿನ್ನೋಹಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಬರೀ ಸಪ್ಪೆ ಸಪ್ಪೆ ತಿಂದೂ ತಿಂದೂ ಸಾಕಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದೆ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಈ ಮಗ- ಸೊಸೆ- ಏನೇನೋ ತಿಂದ್ಬಿಟ್ಟೀರಿ- ಅದಕ್ಕೇ ಹೀಗಾಯ್ತು- ಶುಗರ್‌ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಆಯ್ತು- ಫ್ರಿಜ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಹೋಳಿಗೇನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಆಗಿದೆ. ನೀವೇ ಮತ್ಗೆ ತೆಗೆದು ತಿಂದಿದೀರ... ಅದಕ್ಕೇ ಶುಗರ್‌ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಆಗಿದೆ. ನೀಮ ಅನುಭವಿಸೋದಲ್ದೆ ನಾವೂ ತಾಪತ್ರಯ ಅನುಭನಿಸೋ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡ್ತೀರ ಅಂತೆಲ್ಲ ಹಾರಾಡ್ತಾರೆ. ಮಗ ಹೇಳಿದ್ರೆ ಸರಿ... ಅಮý್ಳ ಸೊಸೆ ಅವ್ಳೂ ಮೂರ್‌ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕಣ್ಗಾವಲು. ಯಾರ್‌ ನೋಡೋದಿಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ್ರೂ ಏನ್‌ ತಂದ್ರು ಅವ್ರ ಹತ್ರ ಕೊಡ್ಬೇಡಿ ತಿಂದ್ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕಾಯ್ಲೆ ಜೋರ್‌ ಮಾಡ್ಕೊಂಡು ನಮ್ಗೂ ಗೋಳಾಡಿಸ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂತೆಲ್ಲ ಹೇಳ್ತಾಳೆ. ನನ್ಗೇನು ಅಷ್ಟೂ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಲ್ವ... ಹಾಗೆ ಏನೋ ಒಂದೇ ಚೂರು ಪಾರು ತಿಂದ್ರೆ ಏನ್‌ ಮಹಾ ತಾನೆ ಆಗ್ಬಿಡುತ್ತೆ? ಒಂದ್‌ ಎರ್ಡ್‌ ಸರ್ತಿ ಹುಷಾರಿಲ್ದೆ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್‌ ಹೋಂಗೆ ಸೇರ್ಸಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದುಡ್ಡು ಖರ್ಚಾದದ್ದಕ್ಕೇ ಊರೇ ಸೂರೆ ಹೇದ್‌ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಡ್ತಾರೆ.

ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹುಷಾರಿಲದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೋಣೆ ಮೂಲೆ ಒಳ್ಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ನೂರೆಂಟು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಾಕಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದೆ ಕಣೆ- ವಯಸ್ಸಾದ್‌ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾಳ ದಿನ ಬದುಕಿರ್‌ಬಾರ್ದು... ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ರ ಹಂಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನರಳ್‌ಕೊಂಡ್‌ ಇರೋ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ನನ್‌ ಶತ್ರುಗೂ ಬೇಡಮ್ಮ. ಹೀಗೆ ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆಯ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಣೆ ಗಾಳೀ ಪಟದ ದಾರದಂತೆ ಉದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಹರಿದು ಸಾಗುತ್ತಲೇ ಇತ್ತು. ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲೇ ಅವರ ಸೊಸೆ ಒಳಗೆ ಹೆಣಕಿ, ಅಕ್ಕಾ ಅಡ್ಗೆ ಮನೇಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿ ಕಾಫಿ ಕುಡೀರಿ ಎಂದಳು. ಹುಂ ಬಂದ್ಲು ನೋಡು- ಕರೆಯೋಕ್ಕೆ. ಯಾರೂ ನನ್‌ ಜತೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೂತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ರೆ ಅವಳಿಗಾಗೋಲ್ಲ ಎಂದ್ರು ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆ.

ಏನೂ ಹೇಳಲಾಗದೆ ಹೊರಬಂದೆ. ಅದಿತಿ ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ಅಡಿಗೆ ಮನೆಗೊಯ್ದಳು. ಕಾಫಿ ಲೋಟ ಕೈಗಿಟ್ಟು ನೋಡಿದ್ರಾ ಅಕ್ಕ ಯಾರ್‌ ಮನೇಗೆ ಬಂದ್ರೂ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದೇ. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನ ದೂರೋದು... ಅಲ್ಲಾ ಅಕ್ಕ. ನಾನೇನು ಇವರ ವೈರಿಗಳೇ ಬರೀ ಬಾಯ್‌ ಚಪಲ ಆಗದೇ ಇರೋ ವಸ್ತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ತಿಂದು ಬಿಡ್ತಾರೆ. ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಹೋಳಿಗೆ ಕದ್ದು ತಿಂದು ಭೇದಿ ಶುರುವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲೋಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕೋ ಸಾಕು ಡಾಕ್ಟರಿಗೆ, ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್‌ ಹೋಂಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪನಾ ದುಡ್ಡಾಯ್ತು... ನೋಡೋಕ್ಕೆ ಬರೋವ್ರ ಹತ್ರ ಎಲ್ಲ ದೂರ್ತಾರೆ. ಅಮý್ರ ಏನಾದ್ರೂ ಸ್ವೀಟು ಹಣ್ಣು ಎಲ್ಲ ತಂದಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲ ಗುಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ತಿಂದು ಬಿಡ್ತಾರೆ.

ಗೊಂದಲಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದೆ. ವಿಜಯತ್ತೆ ಮಾತಾಡುಮದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಅವರು ಹೇಳುಮದೇ ಸರಿ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ- ಈಗ ಅದಿತಿ ಹೇಳುಮದೂ ಸರಿ ಅಲ್ವಾ ಅನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
ಏನೋ ಮಾತು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದೆ. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಗಿಯೊಡನೆ ಅಮ್ಮನೊಡನೆ ಇದೇ ಟಾಪಿಕ್‌ ಚರ್ಚೆಯಾದಾಗ ತಂಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಮ್ಮ ನೀಡಿದ ಸೆಲ್ಯೂಷನ್‌ ಹೀಗಿತ್ತು.

೧. ಹೆತ್ತವರು ವೃದ್ಧಾಪ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲಿರಿಸಿ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿ ಬಳಲುವಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಔಷಧಿ ಪಥ್ಯದಷ್ಟೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿ- ಸಾಂತ್ವನ, ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಅನುನಯದ ಮಾತು ವರ್ತನೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸೊಸೆಯರಿಂದ ಅಗತ್ಯ. ಕಟು ನುಡಿ, ಒರಟು ವರ್ತನೆ, ಅತಿಯಾದ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟುಗಳು ನೋವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುಮದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ, ಅಸಹನೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ವೃದ್ಧರು ಎಳೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳಂತೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಟ, ಚಪಲ, ತನಗೆನಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಮಾಡುವ ಮನೋಭಾವ, ತನ್ನ ಹಿತಕ್ಕೇ ಹೇಳಿದರೂ, ಅದು ಗೊತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಹ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ಹೊಂದುವಿಕೆ ಇವೆಲ್ಲ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಬಾಲ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಮ ರಟ್ಟೆ ಹಿಡಿದಾಗ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ರಮಿಸಿ ಮುದ್ದಿಸಿ ಸರಿದಾರಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆ- ತಾಯಿ, ಅಜ್ಜ ಅಜ್ಜಿ ವೃದ್ಧಾಪ್ಯ, ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅಸಹಾಯಕರಾದಾಗ ಒರಟು ನುಡಿ, ಗದರಿನ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟುಗಳಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಿಸಕೂಡದು. ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ತಾಳ್ಮೆ, ಸಹನೆ, ಅನುಭವದ ಉಪಚಾರಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಖಂಡಿತಾ ಬಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಿ ಔಷಧೋಪಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಮೃದುತ್ವ, ಸಹನೆ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯ ಮಾತು ವರ್ತನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮನಸ್ಸು, ಮನ ಕಹಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವೇ ಸಮಯ ನಮ್ಮೊಡನಿದ್ದು ನಂತರ ಬಾರದೂರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿಬಿಡುವ ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಕಡೆಗಾಲ ಸಂತಸದಿಂದ ಕಳೆಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಖರ್ಚೇನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನಮಗೂ ಇಂತಹ ದಿನಗಳು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದೇ ಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಅಂದು ಯಾವ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಆರೈಕೆಯನ್ನ ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೋ ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುಮದು ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ. ಹಿರಿಯರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುಮದೆಂದರೆ ಯಾಂತ್ರಿಕವಾದ ಅಥವಾ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಹದ್ದುಬಸ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಕಿರಿಯರು ಮನಗಾಣಬೇಕು. ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಅಷ್ಟೆ ತಮ್ಮ ವಿಪರೀತ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಚಪಲ, ದೂರುವ ಚಪಲಗಳಿಂದ ಕಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ನೋಮ, ತೊಂದರೆ ಉಂಟಾಗದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರ ವಹಿಸಿದರೆ ತಮಗೇ ಒಳಿತು.
ವೃದ್ಧಾಪ್ಯದ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಮನೆ ಆನಂದ ಗೋಕುಲವಾಗಿರಲಿ. ಸವಿಯಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಜೀವನದ ಮುಸ್ಸಂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯವಶ್ಯ. ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?

Prakash Shetty is undoubtedly one of the finest cartoonists in India today and yet he struggles, day in and out, to meet his ends. Though engaged in a fierce battle with his destiny, he’s completely unwilling to give up on his profession. He’s also fighting an uneasy battle of keeping his Kannada-humour magazine VAARE KORE alive. The question is: Will he make it? Loosing, however, is not an option with him. Folks’ Co-founder & Editor-in-chief, U. Mahesh Prabhu, engaged this brilliant caricaturist, with indomitable spirit, in a dialogue for a while. Few excerpts:

So how are you qualified?

I think I did my BA in St Aloysius Collage. But it seems, to me at least, as if I studied only comics than economics.

What is you family background?

Family background?! Err… Well, definitely I have parents. One sec. Let me count my siblings… hmmm…. one, two, three… err… yes! Our grand total stands at six.

Did cartooning come naturally to you?

You mean hereditary? Nope, cartooning is not hereditary. My father was with Railways. And I would have become cartoonist even if he was a carpenter.

When did it dawn upon you that you could be a cartoonist?

Well, if I haven’t got amnesia and what I think is to be right then, I suppose, I was 15 when I realized that I too was a cartoonist!

Who motivated you to embark on it – seriously?

I blame nobody for all those self made disasters.

You have been with “The Week” for years – how was your experience there?

It is said that a magazine, or a newspaper, deserves to have an editor with a nose for talent. But, sadly, my otherwise beloved Editor’s, TR Gopalakrishna’s, nose, I found, was often choked up in these matters.

Do you think it’s easy to make a mark as a cartoonist?

Well, it’s certainly not easy to make a mark for yourself as a cartoonist in India! That’s why India has very few professional cartoonists. This is one art form which has to be learnt on your own.

How do you promote your work?

My spot caricature events help me to know more people. Apart from that I have got a blog.

How is your adventurous Kannada-humour magazine?

Oh, it’s a misadventure called VAARE-KORE, a Kannada humour monthly. Already eight months old. Probably the first of it’s kind in any language. But, though well-accepted, I don’t have reliable distributors or agents. I have a gut feeling that I can sell more than 5000 copies if I have proper network.

How did you get the idea of starting the magazine?

It’s a long time dream. Dreams should not be kept in a safety vault for a long time. So I decided to show it off.

What are your plans for its future?

Please… let’s not talk about it! Its better I work on the next issue.

'ಹರಿಣಿ' - ಹೆಣ್ಣೊ, ಗಂಡೋ? ಉತ್ತರ ತಿಳಿಯದ ದಿನಗಳಿದ್ದುವು! 'ತರಂಗ' ಸಾಪ್ತಾಹಿಕ ದಲ್ಲಿ 'ಹರಿಣಿ' ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಚಿತ್ರ ಪುಟಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲ ಮಣೆ! ಪುಟವಿಡೀ ಓರೆಕೋರೆ. ತರಂಗದ ಆರಂಭದಿಂದ ಹರಿಣಿ ಓದುಗರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಹೆಣ್ಣು. ಗಂಡಾಗಲು ಐದು ವರುಷ ಬೇಕಾಯ್ತು!

ಗುಟ್ಟು ರಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಹರಿಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅಂತ ಗೊತ್ತಾದಾಗ, ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ಯಾರೂ ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ. 'ಬಹುಶಃ ನನ್ನ ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು 'ಪಾಪ, ಹೆಣ್ಣೋರ್ವಳು ರಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ' ಎಂಬ ಕರುಣೆಯೋ, ಔದಾರ್ಯವೋ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟರೋ ಏನೋ?' ಶೆಟ್ರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಮೊದಲು ರೂಪಾತಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರ (ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್) ರಚಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶೆಟ್ರು, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುದು ತರಂಗದ ಮೂಲಕ. 'ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯ ಅನಾವರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಕ್ತ ವೇದಿಕೆ' ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯಿಂದ ಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪುಟದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಧಪುಟ ಇವರಿಗೇ ಮೀಸಲು.

ಏನಿದು ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್? ಭಾವ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅತಿರಂಜಿತವಾಗಿ ಗೆರೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಮೂಡಿಸುವುದು. ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ, ಆತನ ವೃತ್ತಿ ನೆನಪಾಗಬೇಕು. ರುಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾಶಸ್ತ್ಯ. ಮುಂಡ - ಕಲಾವಿದನ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ.

ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಷ್ಟೇ ಶುರುವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಗಳ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ಸಹಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾದಾಗ, ಅವರ ಆಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ನೋವಾಗಿತ್ತಂತೆ. 'ಅದನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ನೋಡ್ತಾರೆ, ಕಲೆಯೆಂದು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ' ಎನ್ನುವ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, 'ಶ್ರೀಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್ ನೋಡಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ' ಎನ್ನಲು ಮರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.

'ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರವೆನ್ನುವುದು ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಟೀಕಿಸುವುದು ಎಂಬ ಭಾವವಿತ್ತು. ತರಂಗ ಅದನ್ನು ದೂರಮಾಡಿದೆ' ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಡಾ.ಕಾರಂತ, ಕುವೆಂಪು, ಬೇಂದ್ರೆ..ಮೊದಲಾದ ನಾಡಿನ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳು ಹರಿಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಶೆಟ್ಟರ ಗೆರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದಶಕದಿಂದೀಚೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್, ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಮಾಯ. ಪ್ರಕಟವಾದರೂ ಸ್ಥಾನ-ಮಾನ ಮೊದಲಿನಷ್ಟಿಲ್ಲ. ಬರೇ 'ಸ್ಥಳ ತುಂಬಿಸಲು' ಮಾತ್ರ. ಇಡೀ ಪುಟವನ್ನಾವರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನಗೆಗುಳಿಗೆಗಳು ಈಗೆಲ್ಲಿ? ಜತೆಗೆ ಕಲಾವಿದರೂ ಕೂಡಾ. 'ಕಾಲದ ಓಟ' ಅಂತ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಬೇಕಷ್ಟೇ.

ಯಾವಾಗ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳು ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟವೋ, ಕಲಾವಿದರು ದೂರವುಳಿದರು. ಸದಾ ಓಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ರೇಖೆಗಳು ತಟಸ್ಥವಾದುವು. 'ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗ ನಾವು ಏನು ನೋಡ್ತೇವೋ, ಅದನ್ನು ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಅಂತ ಒಪ್ಪಲು ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.' ಶೆಟ್ಟರ ನೋವು.

'ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾದ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಬಚಾವಾದೆ. ಇದನ್ನೇ ನಂಬಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಬದುಕು ಅಯೋಮಯ'.

ಇವರ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ. 'ದ ವೀಕ್' ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮ್ಯಾಗಜ್ಹಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಚಿತ್ರಕಾರರಾಗಿ ಖ್ಯಾತಿ. ಈಟಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 'ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಂಚ್' ಮನೆಮಾತು. ಅಣ್ಣನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇವರದಲ್ಲ. ಇವರಿಗೆ 'ಬಣ್ಣವೇ ಬದುಕು'. ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಇಮೇಜ್ನಿಂದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸರಿಯುವ ಹಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಮುಂದಿನ ದಾರಿ ಅಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ. ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದ ರೇಖೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸುವ ಬಗೆ ಹೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ತುಡಿತ-ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗೆ ರೂಪುಕೊಡಲು ಉಪಾಧಿಗಳಿಲ್ಲ. ಸ್ವಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೋ, ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಒತ್ತಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೋ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ತಯಾರಾದರೂ ಜನರನ್ನು ತಲಪುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? - ಈ ಗೊಂದಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ವರುಷ ನಷ್ಟ.

ಮೂರು ವರುಷದ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಡೆದ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಬಂಟರ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಬದುಕಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆಗೆಯಿತು. ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಕುಳಿತು, ಕಾಗದದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆರೆಯನ್ನೆಳೆದು ಸಂಪಾದಕರಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಿಂತ ಭಿನ್ನವಾದ - 'ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್' ರಚನೆ. 'ಆರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಜುಗರವಾಯಿತು' ಎನ್ನುವ ಶೆಟ್ರು, 'ಮುಂಬಯಿಯ ಅನೇಕ ಬಂಧುಗಳು ಬಹಳ ಖುಷಿ ಪಟ್ಟರು'. ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತೆನ್ನಿ. ಜತೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಕೂಡಾ ಇದ್ದರು.

ನಂತರ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗಾಳಿಪಟ ಉತ್ಸವ. ವಿದೇಶಿಯರು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು. 'ವಾ...ಬ್ಯೂಟಿಫುಲ್'' ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮುಗಿಬೀಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಹೊಸಹಾದಿ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹುರಿದುಂಬಿಸಿತು. ನಡೆಯುವ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಕಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಂಘಟಕರು ಇಚ್ಛೆ ಪಟ್ಟಲ್ಲಿ 'ಹರಿಣಿ'ಯವರು ರೆಡಿ. ಅಣ್ಣ ಜೀವನ್, ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಸಾಥಿ.

ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಣೀಯ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಂತಮ್ಮ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರ ತೆಗೆಸಲು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ಆತುರಪಡುತ್ತಾರೋ, ಹಾಗೆನೇ ಇವರಿಂದ ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಲೂ ಜನ ಮುಗಿಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೆ! ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಓದುಗರ ಆಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಾರಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಕಾಯಬೇಕು. ಇಲ್ಲ ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ, ತಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಬಂದುಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ-'ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ', 'ತೊಂದರೆಯಿಲ್ಲ', 'ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ', ಕೆಲವರದಂತೂ 'ನಿರುತ್ತರ'!

'ಎರಡು ನಿಮಿಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರ. ತಲೆಗೆ ರೂ.100. ದೇಹ ಫ್ರೀ'. ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ನಿಮಿಷ ಮುಖ ಒಡ್ಡ್ಡಿಸಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು. ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ನಿಮಿಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯೊಳಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ರ. 'ಕೆಲವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಬುದ್ದಿವಂತರಿದ್ದಾರೆ - 'ನಮ್ಮಿಬ್ಬರ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಅಂತ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅಂತಹವರು ಇನ್ನೂರು ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ'! ಟೂ-ಇನ್-ವನ್! ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಭಾವಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕಲೆ, ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಅಂತ ಗುರುತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ' ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ಹರಿಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ. 'ಹಣವೂ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಆದರೆ ಹಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್ ಬಿಡಿಸುವುದಲ್ಲ. ಉಚಿತ ಅಂದರೆ ತಾತ್ಸಾರ'.

ಸುನಾಮಿ ಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತರ ದೇಣಿಗೆ ಸಂಗ್ರಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಡೆದ ಕಲಾಉತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರು ನೂರು ಮಂದಿಯ ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಭಾವಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ದೇಣಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತುಸಾವಿರ ಮೊತ್ತವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಚಿತ್ರ ರಚನೆ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಏಕಾಗ್ರತೆ ಬೇಡುವಂತಹ ಕೆಲಸ. ಪೆನ್ ಹಿಡಿದು ಕಾಗದದ ಮೇಲೆ ರೇಖೆಗಳು ಚಲನೆಗೆ ಶುರುವಾದರೆ ಸಾಕು, ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಮರೆಯುವ ಏಕಾಗ್ರತೆ! ಇದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಿ. ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಾಮೇಳ. ಮೂವರು ಸ್ಥೂಲಕಾಯದ ಯುವಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಬೇಕು, ಜತೆಗೆ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಿತ್ರನ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸಬೇಕು - ಎಂಬ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟರಂತೆ. ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಂಡಂತೆ ಚಿತ್ರ ಬಿಡಿಸಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲೋ ಇದ್ದವರನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿ ಬಿಡಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗಪ್ಪಾ - ಫಜೀತಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತಂತೆ. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತು ತಲೆಬಿಸಿ! ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿ ಆ ಯುವಕರು ಬಹಳ ಖುಷಿಪಟ್ಟರಂತೆ. ಅಂದರೆ ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್ ಕಲಾವಿದನಿಗೆ ಸವಾಲುಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ಬರ್ತವೆ ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯಷ್ಟೇ.

ಈಗ ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ಯುಗ. ಸಾಕಾರ-ನಿರಾಕಾರ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ 'ಫೋಟೊಶಾಪ್'ನಿಂದ ಸಾಧ್ಯ! ಹರಿಣಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ -'ನಾವದನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದು, ಫೋಟೋಶಾಪ್ನಿಂದ ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್ ರಚನೆಗೆ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಯಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಣ್ಣಕೊಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಲುಕ್ ಬಂತು.' 'ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ ಬರೆಯುವವರನ್ನು ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ಓಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಕೋಣೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಕಪ್ಪುಬಿಳುಪು ಫೋಟೋವನ್ನು ಸಂಸ್ಕರಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನಗಳು ಮೂಲೆಸೇರಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಬದಲಿ ಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ.. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಹರಿಣಿಯವರ ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಭಾವಚಿತ್ರ ನಿತ್ಯನೂತನ. ಇಂದು 'ಇಲೋಕ' ಎಷ್ಟು ಮುಂದುವರಿದರೂ, ಹರಿಣಿಯವರ ಗೆರೆಯನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಲು ಅದು ಶಕ್ತವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ' ಚಿತ್ರಕಾರ ಎಸ್ಸಾರ್ ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟರ ಸಾರಥ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ 'ವಾರೆ-ಕೋರೆ' ತರ್ಲೆ ಮಾಸಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಎರಡು ಸಂಚಿಕೆಗಳು ಓದುಗರ ಕೈಸೇರಿವೆ. ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಾಹಸ. ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲೇ ಸಂಚಿಕೆಗಳು ಗೆದ್ದಿವೆ. ಸಹೋದರರ ಸಾಥಿ. 'ಒಂದು ವರುಷ ಚಂದಾ ನೀಡಿದರೆ - ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್ ಫ್ರೀ'!

'ಖ್ಯಾತ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಕಾರ ಯಜ್ಞರು ಮೊದಲು ಕ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಚರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಎತ್ತಿದ ಕೈ. ಅವರು ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪ್ರಭಾವಿತನಾದೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ ಕೆ.ಆರ್.ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ ಹುಂಚ ಅವರ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮೋಡಿಮಾಡಿತು' ನಡೆದು ಬಂದ ದಾರಿಯತ್ತ ಹೊರಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

2005ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಬದುಕಿನ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದರ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ 'ಪೋಕ್ರಿ'cartoon ಗುಚ್ಚ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿತ್ತು ಮಡದಿ ಆಶಾ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ. ಅತಿತ್, ಅಂಕಿತ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು. ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಾವೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ.

ಒಂದೇ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮೂವರು ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರು ಗೆರೆಯ ಬಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಅನನ್ಯ ಇರಬಹುದು! ಬದುಕಿನ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದ ಹರಿಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹರೆಯ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಈಗವರು ಫ್ರೆಶ್.
